Energy Literacy in the Classroom

In 2026, OEJ will host the first annual Energy Literacy in the Classroom Continuing Education series for Oklahoma educators. Attendees will hear from energy industry experts about the greatest challenges facing each of the major three methods of energy generation (oil/gas, wind, and solar). Educators will be presented with hands on experiments and materials that they can take directly back to their classrooms for real-world applications that can be shared with their students. By equipping educators with constructive, non-biased facts, we hope to inspire the next generation of innovators to be inquisitive, curious, and prepared to make a difference in the workforce.

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge “

– Albert Einstein
